Being a mom to little ones, I know too well the struggle of trying to stay current with fashion, while still trying to stay up on the trends but, still look decent with the changing season (its a lot lol!!!). As I get more comfortable in my body again after kids, I am making a conscious effort into my clothing and not just being a frumpy mama (trying to do better haha). With spring right around the corner, we gotta start thinking of simple ways to transition our wardrobe, while still keeping it budget friendly!
- Drop your heavy coats for lighter jackets, jean jackets are all the rave right now and can pretty much go with any and everything. You can always substitute those heavy coats for light weight sweaters.
- Switch out your boots and booties for simple yet chic flats, I am especially loving the flat mules that are everywhere right now. These are perfect comfy shoes that will still keep your feet warm and dry, but not as heavy as boots.
- Layer up, but keep it light! Instead of your usual chunky sweater, opt for a light cotton long sleeve and a light jacket or vest.
- Switch out the dark colors, for more springy and airy light colors like the pinks, and yellows and even add on some floral tones.
- Put away the chunky heavy scarfs and opt for lighter and stylish scarfs that you can easily tie or wrap around your neck.
Spring is honestly my all time fave season, I love the pops of schools that comes with it but mostly importantly I love the milder temps and lets be honest spring fashion is just the most fun. Being a mom doesn’t mean your clothes have to be boring, or not fashion forward most importantly you don’t have to spend a ton of money to get your wardrobe ready for the new season. Looking through your closet to see what is easily able to move into the new season is so key before going out to shop for whole new clothes.
